CE Marking

 What is the CE marking?

The CE marking (a French acronym for "Conformite Europeenne" meaning "European Conformity") certifies that a product has met the European Union (EU) health, safety and environmental requirements which ensure consumer protection.

CE Marking on a product is the manufacturer's declaration that the product complies with the essential requirements of applicable EU technical regulations ("Directives"), related to European health, safety and environmental protection legislation, and that the product compliance has been established using the appropriate conformity assessment procedures.

Electrical and electronic products such as LED bulbs/lamps, LED lighting products, LED power supplies/drivers and LED lighting controllers are required to have the CE marking if placed on the market in the 27 European countries included in the EU and EEA (European Economic Area).
